The Porto Convention Bureau is a non-profit Association with members from both the private and public sectors in Porto and the North of Portugal. Our private members include the main congress centres, the most prestigious 3, 4 and 5-star Hotels with conference facilities, experienced Professional Congress Organisers and Destination Management Companies, among other professional partners.
As regards the public sector, we are proud that the following institutions are Founding Members: University of Porto, Institute of Port and Douro Wines (IVDP), Portuguese Association of Travel Agencies (APAVT), Porto Commercial Association, Portuguese Business Association (AEP), Association of Port Merchants and, of course, the municipalities or Porto and Greater Porto.
Our principal objective is to promote Porto and Northern Portugal in foreign markets as a Business Tourism Destination. To achieve this, our marketing campaign includes participating in international conference and incentive trade shows, advertising in the main international media that target the business travel market and organizing workshops, familiarization tours and special events, both under the aegis of the Portuguese Institute for Tourism and with the support of our Members.
