2GB, the most widely listened-to radio station in Sydney, will be visiting Porto & Northern Portugal as well as its main touristic landmarks this week.

2GB journalist Alex First will be experiencing the region’s exquisite gastronomy, natural landscape and culture heritage. The visit cannot start without a Porto Wine tasting at Taylor’s Cellars, right after having lunch at their restaurant, which has a spectacular panoramic view of Porto. On his way to the beautiful Douro Valley Region there will also be time to visit the picturesque city of Amarante and the famous St. Gonçalo Church and St. Gonçalo Bridge.

After a good night’s sleep at the Six Senses Douro Valley it’ll be time to visit the Vintage House Hotel and an old Quinta with a modern winery and an amazing landscape, Quinta do Seixo. Before heading to Porto there are two must-visits left: Restaurante DOC and Quinta do Panascal.

Last but not least, Porto. Starting at Pestana Vintage Porto Hotel, there will be time to visit Cantinho do Avillez Restaurant, Leitaria Quinta do Paço, the Contemporary Art Museum of Serralves and Casa da Música.

The visit would not be complete without Porto’s famous Francesinha at the typical Brasão restaurant and the finest fish and seafood at Os Lusíadas restaurant.
