Daily Mail, one of the biggest-selling daily newspapers in Britain, has visited Porto to discover what the city has to offer in 48 hours

ATP – Convention & Visitors Bureau accompanied The Daily Mail, a newspaper founded in 1896, in the UK, while it visited Porto through the eyes of the journalist Matthew Hirtes. The aim of this visit was to publish an article that would give tourists a fast itinerary of the city, for those who can only stay one weekend.

For 48 hours, Matthew Hirtes experienced Porto first hand, its culture, gastronomy and landscapes. Estação de São Bento, Rua Santa Catarina, Capela das Almas, Ponte Luís I and Port Wine Cellars were some of the places he visited on his first day here.

To end the visit, on the second and final day, the journalist recommends Ribeira, Igreja de São Francisco, Casa da Música, Serralves and Foz. As for food, he insists the pastel de nata and francesinha are the must-try delicacies.
