Architecture has the power to reveal the identity of a destination, and soon, readers of one of Spain's leading newspapers will discover Esposende through its remarkable Modernist heritage.

In July, Porto and North of Portugal - Convention & Visitors Bureau, in collaboration with Visit Portugal in Spain, hosted renowned Spanish journalist Use Lahoz for a dedicated press trip to produce an article on Esposende's Modernist architecture for El País, one of Spain's leading newspapers. Coordinated by Filipa Mesquita from the Marketing and Communication team, the initiative aimed to showcase Esposende's Modernist architecture and introduce this distinctive cultural heritage to the Spanish market.

Developed in close collaboration with Casa da Arquitetura, the programme included visits to several buildings featured on the Esposende Modernist Architecture Route, offering an in-depth look at the municipality's architectural legacy and its significance within Portugal's cultural landscape.
