The city of Porto, Passadiços do Paiva, the Vila Galé Collection Braga hotel and the cruise company Douro Azul are finalists in the world edition of the World Travel Awards.

After the winners of the European edition of the World Travel Awards were announced, the finalists of the world edition of these Oscars of the travel industry have now been announced. Voting takes place until October 20th.

The city of Porto, which recently won the "Europe's Leading City Destination" category, is now competing in the "World's Leading City Destination" and "World's Leading Heritage City Destination" categories.

Also, the Passadiços do Paiva [Paiva Walkways], an attraction that was crowned “Europe's Leading Tourist Attraction” and “Europe's Leading Adventure Tourist Attraction”, is in the running for “World's Leading Tourist Attraction” and “World's Leading Adventure Tourist Attraction”.

In turn, the Vila Galé Collection Braga hotel, which won the "Europe's Leading Landmark Hotel" category, is now competing for "World's Leading Landmark Hotel" and, finally, the Douro Azul company is in the running for "World's Leading River Cruise Company”.

The winners will be announced at the final gala of this edition, which will take place on November 11^th in Muscat (Oman). Until then, you can vote, until October 20^th, for the finalists from Porto and North of Portugal.

The World Travel Awards, founded in 1993, are one of the most prestigious international awards in the field of tourism, honouring, among others, cities, regions, countries, hotels, resorts, airlines and tour operators from all over the world.
