Turkish Airlines became, in April 2016, the 22^nd airlines operating to and from Porto, having accounced then 4 weekly flights to Istambul, whose strategic location makes it an ideal stopover between Europe and Asia. Since then, the relation between Porto airport and Turkish have been deeply developped, announcing daily flights in february 2016 and 10 weekly operstions, starting in june 2019.

As per this, it is no surprise a Turkish Airlines delegation, a “Five-Star Global Airine”, according to Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) Official Airline Ratings, have been visiting the region to further explore all its touristic potential and best-kept secrets. During this visit, they have had to chance to discover places such as Vila do Conde, a lovely coastline city with an important industrial centre, Viana do Castelo, a city where visitors can enjoy a remarkable quality of life where the presence of the river, the mountain and the sea gives this city its wonderful facets.

In Minho, two mandatory stops - in Braga, the oldest town in Portugal and one of the oldest Christian cities in the world, and in Guimarães and its distinguished extremely well preserved  historical center. The journey could not be complete without Douro. Lamego, Pinhão, Quinta do Panascal, and, of course, a Douro river cruise which includes most of the breathtaking views only this region can offer.
