#Press Trip

Porto already has a direct link to Montpellier! Operated by EasyJet, the air connection between the Invicta City and the French city opened last Saturday, the 14th, and brought five journalists on a press trip through the Northern Region of Portugal.

Via Occitanie, a local television station, France Bleu Hérault (radio), the e-metropolitain online newspaper and the print and online newspaper Midi Libre were the invited media for the trip that took place until 17 December.

The visit to the North began with a dinner at The George and a stay at Hotel Vila Foz. The next day, they headed to Penafiel to visit Quinta da Aveleda, from where they went to Casa da Calçada, in Amarante. AThe afternoon was spent at Hotel Monverde, where they spent the night after performing the "Winemaker for a Day" experiment. The third day began with a trip to The Pedras Salgadas spa & nature park and a visit to the Vidago Palace Hotel, where they had lunch.  It ended with a return to Porto, a Port Wine wine tasting at Cockburn's Caves, a downtown walking tour and, finally, a dinner at DOP Porto restaurant. The last night was spent at Hotel Porto Bay Flores. Before the return flight, there was still an opportunity for a visit to the Lello Bookstore.
