Subenshi Porto Clérigos restaurant opened in March 2018, due to the success of Subenshi Aveiro, considered one of the best sushi restaurants in the country. Subenshi Porto Clérigos is located in a privileged area, right in the heart of Porto's downtown area, in the corner of Praça de Parada de Leitão and Campo Mártires da Pátria, very close to important landmarks, such as Lello Bookshop and the Tower and Church of Clérigos. It is installed in an historical building, prior to the 19th century, which was entirely restored, maintaining its original architectural features. Our motto: "a gastronomic experience in historical heritage", in a harmonious fusion between the Portuguese and Japanese cultures and identities. Subenshi Porto Clérigos has got 3 floors, connected through a wood staircase, with 5 rooms with different seating capacities, plus a traditional granite balcony, on the upper floor, with privileged views to the surrounding areas. This room configuration, makes the restaurant ideal for recreating small charming events. Besides being a restaurant specialized in Japanese cuisine, it also has many other alternatives to sushi, including vegetarian dishes. It is also a pioneer in Portugal, by being the only restaurant with a cryogenic freezing unit.
