From May 10th to 12th, Porto and the North of Portugal had the honor of leading a site inspection from CILAD – Colegio Ibero Latinoamericano de Dermatología, as part of the preparations for the XXV Ibero Latin American Congress of Dermatology, taking place in Porto from 27th to 31st October 2026.

CILAD is recognised as the world’s leading event in the field of dermatology, bringing together around 4,000 participants from across the globe. This congress is a unique opportunity to foster scientific exchange, innovation and knowledge sharing among top experts.

The successful bid to host this prestigious congress was the result of a joint effort from day one, involving Porto and the North of Portugal, Dr. António Massa, President of the Local Organizing Committee, and the Portuguese Society of Dermatology and Venereology. This collaboration reflects our region’s commitment and capacity to attract and host major international events.

This visit further reinforces international confidence in our region as a premier destination for scientific events and congresses, demonstrating our ability to host large-scale, high-impact initiatives.
