Porto e Norte de Portugal is nominated in the “Europe's Leading Meetings & Conference Destination” category and the city of Porto is in the running for four categories: “Europe's Leading City Break Destination”, “Europe's Leading City Destination”, “Europe's Leading Seaside Metropolitan Destination” and “Europe's Leading Cultural City Destination”. Voting is now underway, and you can vote until August 8^th.

Also known as the Oscars of the travel industry, the World Travel Awards are one of the most prestigious international awards in the field of tourism and return this year for their 29th edition.

Porto e Norte de Portugal is again nominated for these awards, namely in the category of “Europe's Leading Meetings & Conference Destination”. The city of Porto, in turn, is nominated in four categories: “Europe’s Leading City Break Destination”, “Europe’s Leading City Destination”, “Europe’s Leading Seaside Metropolitan Destination” and “Europe’s Leading Cultural City Destination”.

These nominations are also joined by those achieved by entities in the region such as the Paiva Walkways – Arouca Geopark (“Europe's Leading Adventure Tourist Attraction” and “Europe's Leading Tourism Attraction”), Serralves Foundation (“Europe's Leading Tourism Attraction”), Douro Azul (“Europe's Leading River Cruise Company”), Porto Royal Bridges Hotel (“Europe's Leading Boutique Hotel”), Hilton Porto Gaia (“Europe's Leading City Hotel” and “Europe's Leading New Hotel”), InterContinental Porto Palácio das Cardosas ( “Europe's Leading City Hotel”), Douro Palace Hotel Resort & Spa (“Europe's Leading Green Hotel”), Villa Galé Collection Braga (“Europe's Leading Landmark Hotel”), Boeira Garden Hotel Porto Gaia, Curio Collection by Hilton (“Europe's Leading Lifestyle Hotel”), Douro Royal Valley Hotel & Spa (“Europe's Leading Lifestyle Resort”), Pestana Palácio do Freixo (“Europe's Leading Luxury Hotel”), The Yeatman (“Europe's Leading Luxury Hotel”) and Pestana Douro Riverside Urban Resort ( "Europe’s Leading New Hotel”).

Voting is now underway, and you can vote until August 8^th. The European winners will be announced on October 1^st, at the Europe Gala Ceremony that will take place at the Hilton Mallorca Galatzo, in Spain.
