From 21 to 24 September, Porto and North of Portugal - Convention & Visitors Bureau, in collaboration with Visit Portugal in Poland and LOT Polish Airlines, hosted a Press Trip to promote the new direct connection between Warsaw and Porto.

Journalists from Wp.pl, Vogue, Polki.pl, naTemat.pl and Wysokie Obcasy travelled through Porto, Guimarães, Braga, Barcelos, Vila do Conde and Vila Nova de Gaia, discovering different destinations and experiences across the region.

Launched at the end of May, LOT Polish Airlines’ Warsaw–Porto route operated five weekly flights during the summer and will continue with four weekly services throughout the winter season, supporting year-round connectivity between Poland and Northern Portugal.

The Polish market continues to record significant growth in the region. In the first half of 2026, overnight stays by Polish visitors reached more than 109,000, an increase of 42% compared with the same period in 2025. Poland consequently became the 10th largest international market for Porto and the North of Portugal during this period.
