From March 18 to 21, Porto and North of Portugal - Convention & Visitors Bureau supported the Selectour Forces des Ventes, hosted at HF Ipanema Park Hotel.
As the largest network of independent travel agencies in France, Selectour gathers over 1,200 points of sale and highly influential professionals, making this annual meeting a valuable platform to position Porto and the North of Portugal within the French market.
The opening plenary session featured Carlos Abade, President of Visit Portugal, and Luís Pedro Martins, President of Porto and North of Portugal - Convention & Visitors Bureau, underlining the relevance of hosting this initiative in the region.
Also on this day, Maria Branquinho, Market Manager, led a destination workshop for more than 250 participants, presenting the diversity and authenticity of Porto and the North of Portugal and reinforcing its appeal across different travel segments.
On March 20, a full day of tourism and business workshops created opportunities for direct engagement with participants, complemented by thematic sessions focused on market insights, commercial strategy, online distribution, and artificial intelligence.
As part of this initiative, Porto and North of Portugal - Convention & Visitors Bureau also organised the “Discover Porto” programme, offering participants an immersive experience in the city through guided visits led by French-speaking guides and curated dining moments.
This initiative further positions Porto and the North of Portugal among key decision-makers in the French market, creating valuable connections and opening the door to future collaborations.
