Porto and the North of Portugal is developing a partnership with the Basque Culinary Center in San Sebastián as part of the creation of the future Gastronomy Innovation Campus in Portugal, specifically in the city of Porto.

Luís Pedro Martins, President of Visit Porto and North of Portugal, and Councillor for Tourism at Porto City Council, Catarina Santos Cunha, recently joined a high-level visit to the Basque Culinary Center in San Sebastián as part of a key partnership to establish the future Gastronomy Innovation Campus in Portugal, specifically in the city of Porto.

This strategic initiative brought together key leaders, including the Secretary of State for Tourism, Pedro Machado, the President and Vice-President of Comissão de Coordenação e Desenvolvimento Regional do Norte (CCDR-N), António Cunha and Jorge Sobrado, and the Administrators of Turismo de Portugal, Catarina Paiva and Lídia Monteiro.

The project aims to blend culinary excellence with innovation, positioning Porto and the North of Portugal as a global reference for authentic and forward-thinking gastronomic experiences.
