Porto and the North of Portugal was present at the ATAS Destination Showcase, which took place in Oxford on April 29th.

Adventure travel took the spotlight as Porto and the North of Portugal joined the ATAS Destination Showcase, hosted by Visit Portugal team in the UK and Jacobs Media. The event gathered around 50 key buyers and tour operators from the Adventure and Touring segments, reinforcing the UK’s importance as a strategic market for our region.

Represented by Maria Branquinho, Market Manager for Europe, our team delivered a destination presentation, highlighting the region’s potential for nature-led, immersive, and sustainable tourism.

The United Kingdom is currently the 4th largest international source market for Porto and the North of Portugal, and this momentum is growing—overnight stays increased by 13.8% from 2023 to 2024.
