The city of Porto is in 5th place in the list of the best European cities and in the 20th position of the World's Best Awards published yesterday by Travel + Leisure.

The city of Porto appears right after Lisbon, which occupies 4th place in Europe and 17th in the world. Overtaking cities like Paris, Barcelona, Venice and Singapore.  

The World's Best Awards are promoted by Travel + Leisure magazine, a monthly publication dedicated to travel and distinguished as the most influential travel brand in the world. The awards are given through the magazine's readers' ranking in categories that include tourist points and landmarks, culture, gastronomy, friendliness, shopping and general value.

This year's polls closed before the covid-19 pandemic and therefore reflect the experience of travellers before confinement.
