Turismo de Portugal will relaunch the Clean & Safe label in May with new rules.

The label that was created by Turismo de Portugal in April last year to certify tourist activities that ensure compliance with hygiene and cleanliness requirements defined by the Direção Geral de Saúde (DGS) for the prevention and control of Covid-19 will be re-launched with new rules. The announcement was made by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rita Marques, during APECATE Day.

Rita Marques pointed out two major reasons for the renewal of the Clean & Safe label, the first has to do with the validity of the labels issued last year, which ends in April 2021, and the second comes under the scope of "the success achieved through the huge adhesion of tourism companies, in particular, the tourist entertainment and events organization.

The participants of the event took the opportunity to demand simpler and clearer measures, to which the Secretary of State responded with the assurance "we are working right now on defining new rules that are extremely simple.
