Between 9 and 11 June, Porto & North Tourism Board was in São Paulo, Brazil, to take part in the third edition of the 'Portugal 360' event.
The "Portugal 360" event was organised by the Turismo de Portugal delegation in Brazil and aimed to showcase the richness and diversity of the Portuguese tourism offer. It took place at the Cinemateca Brasileira in São Paulo from 9 to 11 June.
Brazil is one of the strategic markets for Porto and North of Portugal, so this was an excellent opportunity to publicise the region not only to end consumers, but also to the approximately 400 Brazilian travel agents and tour operators in attendance.
In addition to the presence of the President of Porto & North Tourism Board, Luís Pedro Martins, and the market manager responsible for the Brazilian market, Cátia Barbosa, the Porto and North of Portugal delegation was also represented by the 'Caretos de Podence'.
Over the three days of the event, it was possible to introduce the region and showcase its diverse offer through various presentations. The President of Porto & North Tourism Board also had the opportunity to meet the new President of Embratur (Brazilian International Tourism Promotion Agency), Marcelo Freixo, and invited him to come and visit Porto and North of Portugal soon.
The Grupo de Caretos de Podence Association was responsible for presenting a glimpse of the 'Entrudo Chocalheiro' to Brazil, showing why it has been classified as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
