A direct connection with the Asian market set the stage for showcasing Porto and the North of Portugal in a focused and engaging way. On March 17, Porto and North of Portugal - Convention & Visitors Bureau took part in the webinar “The Wonders of Iberian Heritage”, organised by Mikki Travel.

Presented by the Market Manager Maria Branquinho, who stepped in on behalf of Cátia Barbosa, the session introduced the destination to travel agents from across Asia, with a strong focus on wine tourism as a key driver of interest and differentiation for this market.

The webinar also featured Miguel Moraes, representing Visit Portugal, and Marco Rico from Kopke Group, alongside representatives from Visit Madrid and Spanish private sector partners, highlighting a collaborative Iberian approach to international promotion.

Throughout the session, participants explored the diversity and complementarity of Portugal and Spain, positioning wine tourism as a high-value product for long-haul travellers.
