The promotional films “The Majestic Adventures of Ofelia de Souza” and “Porto & the North of Portugal are awaking” are in the running for the “World’s Best Tourism Film” award, promoted by CIFFT.

For the fifth year in a row, the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT) is promoting the “People’s Choice” Award, an online competition that aims to showcase new tourist destinations through its videos.

This year, there are 49 participants in the running for the “World's Best Tourism Film by People's Vote”, from 22 countries, with Porto and North of Portugal Tourism Board having two films on this list: “The Majestic Adventures of Ofelia de Souza” and “Porto & the North of Portugal are awaking”.

In addition to Porto and North of Portugal Tourism Board, there are two municipalities in the region that also have films in the competition: Porto, with the video series “Tourism Porto”, and Bragança, with the film “Bragança. Naturally!”.

 This online competition takes place within the CIFFT 2022 Circuit, in which Ofelia de Souza's films and the Awakening campaign have already won several awards throughout the year, at festivals such as the Japan World's Tourism Film Festival, the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards, the International Tourism Film Festival Africa and the Terres Travel Festival.

Voting is already underway and ends on October 20th, and voting is only possible once a day (voting is controlled by IP address or browser session). The winner will be announced the following day, October 21^st, on the CIFFT website and social media.
