“The Majestic Adventures of Ofelia de Souza” wins Gold Award at Terres Travel Festival 2022

After having recently won the Grand Prix at the International Tourism Film Festival Africa, the promotional film “The Majestic Adventures of Ofelia de Souza” received a Gold Award at the Terres Travel Festival 2022, in Spain.

Last Friday, September 9th, the winners of the 6th edition of the Terres Travel Festival – Films and Creativity were announced, where our film won the Gold Award in the Tourism Products / MICE category.

At the awards ceremony, held in Tortosa (Catalunya), the winners of the 35 awards were announced, whose limelight was aimed at the tourism films, and documentaries from 16 countries in a variety of categories focused on promoting tourism, hospitality and sustainability.

The international jury also chose the Gold Awards and the Silver Awards for the categories Tourism Destination Cities, Regions, Countries, Tourism Products and Independent Filmmakers among the 142 films submitted by 34 countries.

For Luís Pedro Martins, President of Porto & North of Portugal Tourism Board, “this award reinforces the consistency of the strategy initially defined: it is clearly a film that has won over the greatest critics of the film and advertising industry, and essentially meets the objectives defined for this very important segment. to the destination, the Meeting Industry”.

It is important to remember that this Festival is an official member of CIFFT, being part of the largest Tourism Film competition in the world, alongside tourism film festivals spread around the world.

Launched in October last year, the film produced by Kobu Agency stars Ofélia de Souza, an experienced 72-year-old event planner and epicurean who, alongside her personal assistants Ofelier and Ofeliette, shares tips and secrets for choosing and enjoying the Porto & North region, one of the best business tourism destinations in the world.

All the character’s costumes and interactions refer to products and spaces representative of the design, culture, industry and fashion of the region, in a film that intends to show that the destination has everything that is needed for organising major events.

This campaign, which will continue in 2022, reinforces the commitment to position the region as a leading destination in the MICE industry.
