The "Turismo do Porto e Norte" brand preferred by the Portuguese


The "Turismo do Porto e Norte" brand was honoured with the Best Reputation in Industry 22'Portugal award, in the Tourism Regions area, which every year recognizes the most relevant and renowned brands in the country.

The prestigious consulting firm OnStrategy released, this week, the results of the annual RepScore study, having ranked the Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal brand in the leadership of its sector.

The results of the study acknowledge credibility, emotional relation, reputation and the way it operates in the market. On a scale of 100 points, Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal -TPNP (Porto and the North of Portugal Tourism Board) was the region with the highest score, reaching 75.8.

Luís Pedro Martins, president of TPNP, was pleased with this honour. “The reasons why this recognition of the credibility and reputation of Turismo Porto e Norte is very important are known, it means that we are on the right track.”

The president of TPNP also recalled that “Turismo do Porto e Norte has implemented an action plan to support the recovery of tourism in the region, with a strong destination branding component by communicating in a very targeted way, with a strong emotional aspect, great authenticity and placing emphasis on the destination's diversified offer, and on the call to action for the purchase of tourism experiences, a clear support to the companies of the destination.”

The study assesses more than 50 industries and more than two thousand brands, perceived by around fifty thousand citizens, according to gender, age, academic qualifications and geographic distribution.
